Dieuwie Holthuysen, artist
Dieuwie Holthuysen was born in Holland and immigrated to Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe) in 1957. She showed an early potential in her school art works, winning many competitions in her Native Holland. She started her full time career in 1980. She and her husband Piet set up their own business from their home.
Of late Dieuwie and her husband have moved to take up residence in South Africa in the Eastern Cape, and is now painting Sea Scapes and Cape Sceneries. God willing this will be successful and bring pleasure to many people. She paints from her lovely new home in Port Alfred. and she has exhibited in East London and P.E. attended Grahamstown Art Festival for the last 9 years.
